Delivery, fees and changes in tax are excluded. A second discount is applied to the reduced price.
How it works
Final price = original price × (1 − first discount ÷ 100) × (1 − extra discount ÷ 100). Discounts are applied one after another.
A quick example
An £80 item with 25% off costs £60. A further 10% off brings it to £54: a total saving of £26, or 32.5%.
Good to know
Do two discounts add together?
No. 20% off followed by 10% off is 28% off overall, not 30%.
What if the original price is zero?
The final price and savings are zero. The effective discount is shown as zero because there is no starting cost.
